I don’t really have a bucket list, but every now and then I think about making one. If I did make one, I’d probably include: “Be quoted in Real Simple.” And I’d be able to check it off! (Am I the only one who adds items to my task list that I’ve already done, just so I can check it off?)

When I’m helping a client declutter a kitchen, the question of how long food lasts comes up a lot. In my own family, the question of how long leftovers keep comes up a lot as well. (My husband and I seem to have differing opinions.)

My favorite feature of Real Simple magazine has always been the section where they offer new uses for common things. I subscribe to Real Simple’s Weekly Tips and today’s edition offered a bonanza: 50 All-Time Favorite New Uses for Old Things.
